Tubal and Anatomy Problems
Uterine fibroids, malformations of the uterus such as uterine septum, cervical and endometrial polyps, tubal scarring, and other anatomic problems can lead to problems conceiving. These can lead to an increased risk of miscarriage also. Up to 20-25% of women may find tubal or anatomic problems that lead to infertility. Most of these can be corrected with outpatient procedures that improve the outcome including higher pregnancy rates and lower miscarriage rates. Imaging, such as hysterosalpingogram (tubal dye test), or ultrasound with saline in the office is scheduled to evaluate the anatomy and the tubes. This can be ordered remotely, Dr. Coussons can review existing records and make recommendations for treatment. He also offers treatments using expert minimally invasive surgery in Green Bay to repair the tubes, or remove the uterine septum.
